Our Earth (C Lajou Sept 2025)
She is the wind that blows, the rain that falls,
The voice of the mountains, the rivers call.
She sees us born, and she lays us down,
The cradle, the kingdom, the sacred ground.
She is the fire and the ice, the dust and the sea,
The night and the day, the roots of the tree.
Volcanoes and oceans, deserts wide,
Fertile plains where the children thrive.
Our Earth, she feeds us, she gives us life,
From our ancestors’ hands to the stars in the sky.
She holds our footprints, forever they stay,
In the galaxy’s song, she will never fade away.
Our Earth, our mother, fragile and strong,
Protect her spirit, we all belong.
If we break her heart, where will we go?
No second home, only one we know.
She gives us breath, she gives us song,
Without her love, we won’t live long.
She is the forest, the wood, the stone,
The concrete walls, the chalk, the flint, the bone.
Energy and power, yet fragile, in pain,
She’s crying for healing, she’s calling our name.
Our Earth, she feeds us, she gives us life,
From our ancestors’ hands to the stars in the sky.
She holds our footprints, forever they stay,
In the galaxy’s song, she will never fade away.
Our Earth, our mother, fragile and strong,
Protect her spirit, we all belong.
